Our company manufactures and supplies interior products for the commercial airline industry. It offers passenger and crew seating components such as plastic shroud, arm rest cover, food tray, cushion, dress cover, backrest support, seat pan, many structural and appearance products. The company also provides electric system design, engineering, certification, mechanical structure design, program management, and integration.

Summary: Responsible and accountable for Purchase order placement for tactical and strategic buying of aircraft material for customers work orders and stock requirements. Purchase order allocation, follow-up and expediting material for open work order requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Place Purchase Orders generated from the Planner/Buyer Coordinator and Operations management.
  • Generate and administer purchase orders to vendors from approved requisitions.
  • Follow up/ call backs on open purchase orders with vendors.
  • Expedite material with vendors to meet internal customer work order requirements.
  • Allocate outstanding material purchases to open customer work orders requirements.
  • Coordinate scheduling, expedite and reschedule all purchase orders.
  • Ensure all data in quick aviation is accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Report significant changes in pricing.
  • Propose and facilitate continuous improvements within the position and associated tasks.
  • Attend department and inter-company meetings.
  • Other reporting and/ or task may be added as necessary.  To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Qualifications:  1-2 years of related experience in purchasing position or some combination of education and experience is possible depending on experience. High school diploma or equivalent.
